Accidentally In Love - Chapter 14
Song of the Chapter: Allah Maaf Kare - Desi Boyz
Khushi was on cloud nine, despite her annoying Nurse's constant raving on Arnav. The doctors had said that she could be discharged today! Seeing as though her nurse was waiting for Arnav to make his next appearance and Arnav seemed to have forgotten her existence, Khushi was happy to hear that she would be able to leave soon.
"Bass ek bar Jiji ki shaadi hojaye, toh hum chenn se vaapas Lucknow chale jaaenge. Once Payal gets married, I'll just peacefully go back to Lucknow." Khushi muttered, moving her hair out of her face with an irritated huff.
Who would miss her anyways?! Arnav seemed to have lost his sudden "liking," he had taken to her, if the last week that had gone by without him visiting once was any indication, and Payal would be married and busy with her own family. Buaji would finally have enough money to live comfortably and Khushi would- well- she'd find a place for herself.
"Ab yahaan rehne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai. Vaise bhi yahaan humari kaddar hi kaun karta hain? Now there's no need to stay here. Besides, who cares about me here anyways?" Khushi continued, now wallowing completely in her self-pity.
"Excuse me? Kya kaha tumne? What did you say?" A voice, that Khushi knew well although she wished she didn't, came from the doorway.
She glanced up and narrowed her eyes furiously at the man in the doorway. It seemed that Arnav Singh Raizada had finally decided to return.
"Aapko kya hai!? Jaaye! Voh hi toh aap karte hain! What's it to you?! Go! That's what you do best, isn't it?" Khushi growled and turned her head away stubbornly from, a now irritated looking, Arnav.
"Ohhhh so itna noise in here is you. You're making all the ruckus." Khushi tried to smother a laugh as Arnav whipped about and jumped as Jenny stood behind him with her hands on her flaring hips.
"TUM! YOU!" Arnav thundered and Khushi jumped as Jenny began to laugh.
"Yes handsome main. Me. Are you and your boyfriend okay now?" Jenny laughed again, walking past Arnav to come to Khushi's side and check her bandages. Khushi now looked confused and Arnav growled angrily.
"You listen up! I am not gay!" Arnav snarled viciously, storming over to Jenny and Khushi gasped.
"YOU LISTEN HERE BOY. THERE IS NOT A DAMN THING WRONG WITH BEING GAY YOU HEAR ME?!" Jenny roared, suddenly furious, and Khushi cowered into her pillows as Arnav took a step backwards in surprise.
"But I didn't mean-" Arnav began, but Jenny cut him off, waggling her finger in his face.
"LOVE IS NOT DETERMINED BY GENDER BOY. LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL FEELING THAT HAPPENS BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE. IT DONT MATTER WHETHER YOU A MAN OR A WOMAN YOU HEAR ME."
"I know that bu-"
"YOU KNOW THAT BOY!? WELL THEN YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND IT!" Jenny finished passionately and Khushi stared dumbstruck as Arnav nodded mutely. For the first time that she could remember somebody had silenced Arnav Singh Raizada. Jenny nodded as if to solidify her point.
"And you," she said, gesturing to Khushi who squeaked in fear, "Don't forget to collect your discharge documents child." she finished gently and Khushi nodded.
After a last scathing look at Arnav who flinched slightly, Jenny walked out and Arnav cleared his throat awkwardly.
"So uh Khushi... ready to go?"
"Nahin. Humein nahin jaana aapke saath. No, I don't want to go with you." Khushi snapped and Arnav's friendly expression disappeared.
"Listen Khushi you-" Arnav spat, starting forwards a few steps before he froze and squeezed his eyes shut, taking in a deep breath.
"Khushi," he said calmly, elongating her name as though it took a massive effort out of him to be nice, "Don't be stubborn, abhi tyaar hojaao, baad mein main tumhe sab kuch samjhadunga. Get ready now, and I'll explain everything to you later."
"Teek hain. Aap jaiye. Okay. You go." Khushi said stubbornly and Arnav growled in frustration.
"Tumhe madat toh nahin chahiye? You don't need help?" Arnav asked and Khushi rolled her eyes in embarrassment and irritation. She did, but she definitely wasn't going to get it from Laad Governor.
Arnav seemed to sense her reluctance to voice her need and reached down to wrap his arm around her wait, and to provide her with the support she needed when a crash and a loud voice interrupted them from the doorway.
"I DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK YOU ARE, BUT YOU BETTER GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF MY WOMAN."

I don't even have a guess as to who might yell that. NK maybe, or Akash joking?
ReplyDeleteI like Jenny's response to Arnav denying he's gay, not really an issue but I'm glad she had her point on the issue clear!
Awesome chapter, I take it he'll avoid expressing his feelings for a while, of course.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! Yes, that was something I wanted to make abundantly clear! LOL you'd be correct!
