Accidentally In Love - Chapter 15

Song of the Chapter - Subanallah - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

THIS CHAPTER GOES TO typicaldesigirl I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER AWESOME PERSON!

Arnav leapt backwards in alarm, whipping about to face the doorway as Khushi yelped cowering into her pillows.

"WHAT THE?!" Arnav yelled, staring the man in the doorway. This man was tall, maybe an inch or two taller than Arnav himself, with hair so black it looked blue, as it swung forwards into his navy blue eyes. Khushi had to admit, though she was totally Team Arnav, that he was quite the looker.

"YOU HEARD ME!" The man roared back, storming forwards and shoving Arnav away from her. Khushi gasped as he knelt by her bedside grasping her hand firmly in his own.

"Meri Khushi, meri jaan, tum teekh toh ho na! Mujhe kitni chinta ho rahi thi! My Khushi, my life! Are you okay? I was so worried!" Khushi awkwardly cleared her throat, attempting to pull her hand out of the man's solid iron grip.

"You son of a fucking bitch." Arnav said slowly and Khushi glanced up at him, shocked at how calm he appeared.

"Now, now Stud Muffin," said the man crouched in front of Khushi soothingly, his eyes still locked with hers, "there's no need to speak so derogatorily about yourself."  Khushi gasped in horror, waiting for the explosion that never came.

"Shut up and get up here." Arnav said, laughing and Khushi watched in shock as the man released her, laughing as well, and stood up embracing Arnav tightly.

Whaaaaatt? Hai Devi Maiya, had Jenny been right?! Was Arnav- no... she didn't think so... But he was hugging the man so tightly... but he was supposed to be in love with her, wasn't he?!

"Fateh, how've you been man?" Arnav said fondly, stepping back from the hug and Khushi felt her head spin at how wide Laad Governor's smile was.

"Alright man, alright. Oh and listen miss," The man- Fateh- said, turning to face her again and Khushi yanked her hands back as a precaution. He laughed slightly at the action before putting on a remorseful face, "I'm so sorry for yelling like that when I came in. It was really rude and I shouldn't have used that kind of language. Main bohot sharminda hoon ki maine iss tarah se baat ki aur please mujhe maaf kardijiye."

Khushi smiled at him, seeing the genuine apology in his eyes and nodded. His answering smile was so bright that Khushi blinked a few times, befuddled.

"Oh and Arnu, I'm sorry for calling you a woman. My woman to be precise. If it helps, you'd be an attractive one. A real chammak challo."  Khushi gave a snort of laughter that immediately died out when Arnav's irritated gaze swivelled to her.

"Tum kya sochte ho? Ki tum bohot funny ho? What, you think you're reeeeaaaal funny, don't you?"

"Koshish karta hoon, Arnie kya kahoon tumse. I try Arnie, what can I say?" Fateh returned, winking roguishly.

"Khushi," Arnav said, turning towards her, "Yeh mera dost hai Fateh Singh Brar. This is my friend Fateh Singh Brar." Fateh waved in response and Khushi's mouth dropped.

"Aapke pass dost hain?! You have friends?!" She gasped and Arnav's smirk disappeared as Fateh burst into laughter.

Both Arnav and Khushi watched him as he went from standing to crouching before ending up on the floor, clutching his stomach.

"Hahhhahaah nee main marjaa. HASHTAG DEAD. Ai hai, hai o rabba, oh man, oh my god," Fateh groaned as he struggled to stand up again. He grappled for Arnav's arm, who then proceeded to throw it off of himself violently, "Arnav ke pass ek hi dost hain, aur voh hoon main. Kya hai ki Arnav ne itni derr ke liye mujhse bheek mangi, ke please mera dost banjao, please, main apni jaan dedunga please, ke akhir mujhe bhi manna pada. Arnav only has one friend, thats me. You see, Arnav begged for so long that please be my friend please, I'll kill myself please, that eventually even I had to agree."

Fateh flipped his hair as though he had done Arnav a massive favour and proceeded to tap him on the shoulder comfortingly.

"It's okay Chote I'm here for you."

"SHUT. UP." Arnav snapped turning back towards Khushi. He schooled his features back into their normal expression before leaning down to help Khushi again.

"Ah ah ah. Let me ASR. Akhir, voh meri khushi hai. After all, she's my Khushi." Fateh said suggestively taking off his suit blazer and moving towards Khushi only to be shoved out of the room by Arnav.

"And stay the fuck out...buddy!"
______________________________________________________________________

Arnav glared at Fateh through the rearview mirror again, only to receive a cheesy wave in response.

He gave him the finger and turned to Khushi to see if she was alright. They'd gotten in the car after collecting her discharge papers, and it hadn't taken long for Khushi to fall asleep.

Ignoring Fateh's low singing of

He don't wanna another pretty face
He don't want just anyone to hold
He doesn't want his love- er infatuation- to go to waste
He wants Khushi and her beautiful souuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul

Arnav smoothed her hair out of her face, braking lightly at a red light as to not disturb her. Leaning back against the seat, he sighed revelling in the feeling of just having Khushi beside him.

"You really care about her eh man?" He turned slightly to make eye contact with a smiling Fateh.

"Yeah. I do." He said, offering no more explanation, and none was needed, as he stepped on the gas and continued the drive to Shantivan.

Upon reaching the grand house Arnav was confused upon seeing another car in what was usually his spot.

"Hey asshole, that yours?" He asked Fateh, gesturing to the car as he turned his own off, now in a different spot.

"Uh rude much. Excuse you, but no it's not mine." Fateh huffed, climbing out of the car and cursing as the sunlight hit his eyes.  Arnav slowly climbed out himself, walking over to Khushi's side, while still thinking about whose car it could be.

"Hey man, you need me to carry Khushiji?" Fateh asked slyly, only to receive a punch in response.

"Goddamn it, what kind of fuckery is this man? Pagal hogaye ho kya? Are you crazy? Some of us don't have billions of dollars, we need our faces to attract the ladies. Haraami. Scoundrel." Fateh snapped, stalking off towards the house, muttering under his breath.

Arnav sighed and opened Khushi's door and was forced to stop and stare. The sunlight was hitting her dark hair at an angle that caused it's natural brown undertones to shine and her lips were slightly parted. Her skin seemed to glow in the light and she looked so peaceful that Arnav was afraid that even touching her would disrupt the beautiful picture she painted.

He leaned down to stroke her ethereal face when all of a sudden a voice behind him made him jump and hit his head on the roof of his car.

"Arre Bhai, aap toh bade Shah Rukh Khan nikhle. Well Arnav, you turned out to be quite the king of romance."

"Shut up Akash!" Arnav snapped, rubbing his head while Akash snickered.

"Bhai, jaldi se Khushiji ko andar leh aiye. Varna Buaji bahar unhe lene ajaiyengi. Arnav, just bring Khushi inside quickly, otherwise Buaji will come out to get her." Akash laughed, returning to the house and Arnav gave him the finger too. It seemed as though the world was out to get him today.

Leaning down and scooping Khushi into his arms, still sleeping, Arnav walked into the house only to be greeted with a shocking and horrifying sight.

"Well hello Brother."

Dhruv.

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 14

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 14

Song of the Chapter: Allah Maaf Kare - Desi Boyz

Khushi was on cloud nine, despite her annoying Nurse's constant raving on Arnav. The doctors had said that she could be discharged today! Seeing as though her nurse was waiting for Arnav  to make his next appearance and Arnav seemed to have forgotten her existence, Khushi was happy to hear that she would be able to leave soon.

"Bass ek bar Jiji ki shaadi hojaye, toh hum chenn se vaapas Lucknow chale jaaenge. Once Payal gets married, I'll just peacefully go back to Lucknow." Khushi muttered, moving her hair out of her face with an irritated huff.

Who would miss her anyways?! Arnav seemed to have lost his sudden "liking," he had taken to her, if the last week that had gone by without him visiting once was any indication, and Payal would be married and busy with her own family. Buaji would finally have enough money to live comfortably and Khushi would- well- she'd find a place for herself.

"Ab yahaan rehne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai. Vaise bhi yahaan humari kaddar hi kaun karta hain? Now there's no need to stay here. Besides, who cares about me here anyways?" Khushi continued, now wallowing completely in her self-pity.

"Excuse me? Kya kaha tumne? What did you say?" A voice, that Khushi knew well although she wished she didn't, came from the doorway.

She glanced up and narrowed her eyes furiously at the man in the doorway. It seemed that Arnav Singh Raizada had finally decided to return.

"Aapko kya hai!? Jaaye! Voh hi toh aap karte hain! What's it to you?! Go! That's what you do best, isn't it?" Khushi growled and turned her head away stubbornly from, a now irritated looking, Arnav.

"Ohhhh so itna noise in here is you. You're making all the ruckus." Khushi tried to smother a laugh as Arnav whipped about and jumped as Jenny stood behind him with her hands on her flaring hips.

"TUM! YOU!" Arnav thundered and Khushi jumped as Jenny began to laugh.

"Yes handsome main. Me. Are you and your boyfriend okay now?" Jenny laughed again, walking past Arnav to come to Khushi's side and check her bandages. Khushi now looked confused and Arnav growled angrily.

"You listen up! I am not gay!" Arnav snarled viciously, storming over to Jenny and Khushi gasped.

"YOU LISTEN HERE BOY. THERE IS NOT A DAMN THING WRONG WITH BEING GAY YOU HEAR ME?!" Jenny roared, suddenly furious, and Khushi cowered into her pillows as Arnav took a step backwards in surprise.

"But I didn't mean-" Arnav began, but Jenny cut him off, waggling her finger in his face.

"LOVE IS NOT DETERMINED BY GENDER BOY. LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL FEELING THAT HAPPENS BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE. IT DONT MATTER WHETHER YOU A MAN OR A WOMAN YOU HEAR ME."

"I know that bu-"

"YOU KNOW THAT BOY!? WELL THEN YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND IT!" Jenny finished passionately and Khushi stared dumbstruck as Arnav nodded mutely. For the first time that she could remember somebody had silenced Arnav Singh Raizada. Jenny nodded as if to solidify her point.

"And you," she said, gesturing to Khushi who squeaked in fear, "Don't forget to collect your discharge documents child." she finished gently and Khushi nodded.

After a last scathing look at Arnav who flinched slightly, Jenny walked out and Arnav cleared his throat awkwardly.

"So uh Khushi... ready to go?"

"Nahin. Humein nahin jaana aapke saath. No, I don't want to go with you." Khushi snapped and Arnav's friendly expression disappeared.

"Listen Khushi you-" Arnav spat, starting forwards a few steps before he froze and squeezed his eyes shut, taking in a deep breath.

"Khushi," he said calmly, elongating her name as though it took a massive effort out of him to be nice, "Don't be stubborn, abhi tyaar hojaao, baad mein main tumhe sab kuch samjhadunga. Get ready now, and I'll explain everything to you later."

"Teek hain. Aap jaiye. Okay. You go." Khushi said stubbornly and Arnav growled in frustration.

"Tumhe madat toh nahin chahiye? You don't need help?" Arnav asked and Khushi rolled her eyes in embarrassment and irritation. She did, but she definitely wasn't going to get it from Laad Governor.

Arnav seemed to sense her reluctance to voice her need and reached down to wrap his arm around her wait, and to provide her with the support she needed when a crash and a loud voice interrupted them from the doorway.

"I DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK YOU ARE, BUT YOU BETTER GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF MY WOMAN."

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 13

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 13

Song of the chapter: Subanhallah - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

"Acha toh- Okay so- Bhai, what you're trying to tell me is that you and Khushi? Aap aur Khushi?" Akash asked slowly, moving his hands about, almost as if to communicate his point with more clarity.

"No. Apparently, it's not a mutual thing- voh- that-" Arnav muttered, running his hands through his hair roughly and freezing as he heard Akash snort with barely concealed laughter.

"Arre nahin Bhai. Apparently kaha se hai? Voh toh aapko ek acha dost maanti hai. Aur aap bhi unko dost hi mante ho na? Haan baat yeh hai ki aapka dost manna todha sa alag hai. Oh no, Arnav. What's apparent about it? She thinks of you as such a good friend! And you too think of her as a friend don't you? Oh yeah hahaha your friendship is a little different, no?"

Arnav glared angrily at Akash, who had abandoned all pretense of hiding his laughter now, and was leaning against the wall for support, clutching his stomach.

"Oh this is just rich Bhai, JUST RICH. Jab Dhruv ko pata chalega naa. When Dhruv finds out about this."

"Akash tum- you! Just shut up. Main jaa raha hoon. Meri.... meeting hai. I'm leaving. I... have a meeting." Arnav snapped, stalking off down the hospital hallway, muttering something about Khushi being unbelievable.

"Oh Bhai. Aap bhi na. Oh Arnav."
________________________________________________________________________

Khushi sighed, leaning back against her pillows. What could Arnav have meant by- by what he said. He...liked her. Well...what other way could he possibly like her in? Just as Khushi thought she'd finally got it, her musings were interrupted by the arrival of a blushing Payal.

"Arre Jiji aap? Aap aise sharmaa kyun rahi hain? Arre haan, Jeejaji bahar hai na iss liye. Hum bhi na, kitne pagal hai. Payal? Why are you blushing? OH YEAH, Akash is standing outside right? I'm so crazy sometimes."  Khushi said cheekily and Payal swatted at her playfully.

"Khushi tu theek hain na? You're okay right?" Payal asked, sitting beside her younger sister and stroking her face.

"Haan Jiji, hum bilkul teekh hain. Yeah, I'm fine." Khushi said grasping Payal's hand comfortingly.

"Acha toh hum bass tujhe yeh dene aye teh. I just came to give you this," Payal said tying a protection thread around Khushi's slender bandaged wrist, "Apna khayal rakhna aur aram kar lena teek hai? Take care of yourself, and rest oka?" Payal smiled and got up, gathering her belongings and meeting an amused looked Akash at the door.

Khushi sighed and settled herself more comfortably into bed. Her eyes were drawn to the doorway often, as she found herself hoping that Arnav would come in again and keep talking to her. She didn't know why but she felt as if he had, had something else to say. Something deeper, with more meaning. The longer Khushi thought about, the clearer Arnav's words became until she shot up with a shriek.

"LAAD GOVERNOR?! AUR HUMSE?! ARNAV?! ME!??!''

Khushi clutched her hand to her chest as the Dhak Dhaks started again and shrieked again as the door to her hospital room opened again.

She scowled angrily as the Nurse from earlier walked in and Khushi huffed.

"I'm Jenny, tumhara nurse. Main Goa se aaya hoon, specially for tumhara sake. I'm your nurse, I came from Goa, especially for you."

"Ji, Namaste Jennyji. Hello Jenny." Khushi said quietly, leaning back and rubbing her chest over her pounding heart.

"Gurrrl, voh handsome boy toh Jesus ka special creation hai. That boy is a special creation of Jesus gurl." Jenny gushed, adjusting the flowers NK had brought for Khushi earlier.

"Voh tumhara boyfriend hai? Is he your boyfriend?" Jenny, asked, her dark eyes narrowing on Khushi.

"NAHIN! NO! He's a friend..." Khushi stuttered.

"Hmmm gurl,  you believe that if you like to. You cant hide all this from Jenny. If you don't tap that... believe me I will."

"KYA!? WHAT!?"
_______________________________________________________________________

Arnav growled slamming the file in front of him shut. Ever since that Khushi Kumari Gupta had - well- said what she had said, he couldn't focus at all.

If Khushi Kumari Gupta wanted to play hard to get- well then they didn't call Arnav Singh Raizada the wolf for no reason either.

He wanted Khushi, and he was going to get her.

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 12

Accidentally In Love - Chapter 12

Song of the Chapter: Tumse Milke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal - Main Hoon Na

FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND HINDI
Fallin For You - Colbie Caillat

Khushi had been pretending to sleep for the past half hour now. At first, it had been cute to watch her attempt to fool him, but now, as the time wore on, Arnav grew more and more exasperated.

"Khushi." He asked, reaching out to shake her sleeping form gently.

Arnav growled angrily as Khushi's eyelids fluttered and she fought to keep them closed.

"Khushi!" He yelled, standing up quickly. The chair he had just been sitting on crashed to the floor and Khushi jumped, but still kept her eyes shut.

"KHUSHI. BAS. BOHOT HOGAYA. THAT'S ENOUGH! Band karo yeh bachpana. Stop this childishness."

"BACHPANA?! CHILDISHNESS?!" Khushi shrieked, shooting up and glaring angrily at Arnav.

 "Hum bachkane hain?! I'm childish?!"

"Aur nahin to kya! You most definitely are. Isse kya kehte hain!? Is this maturity?!" Arnav snapped, crossing his arms over his chest and raising his eyebrows at her.

"Dekhiye- Look-" Khushi began warningly, waving her finger in Arnav's direction. "Aap bass....- You just-"

"Shut up Khushi." Arnav cut her off, trying not to laugh as he watched indignation on her face grow.

"Hawww! Aap shut up! You shut up!" Arnav recoiled, taken aback at her sudden burst of courage, before irritation swelled inside him. First ,she ignored him and now she has the audacity to tell him to shut up.

"Watch the tone Khushi." He growled warningly, taking a few steps forwards.

"Kya tone?! Kaisa tone? What tone? What kind of tone?" Khushi challenged, and Arnav strode forwards until he was right at her bedside leaning over her.

"Tum jaanti ho ke jab koi mujhse aise baat karta hai toh mujhe pasand nahin hai. You know I don't like it when people talk to me like that." Khushi opened her mouth to argue again but Arnav pressed his finger against her parted lips. Time seemed to freeze as he leaned inwards till they were mere inches apart.

"Arnavji aap-" Her eyes were wide and he could feel her cool breath, coming in short pants, against his fingertip.

"Ssh. Ab main bolunga, aur tum sunogi. Now I'm going to talk, and you are going to listen." Arnav whispered and Khushi watched him with her doe eyes, darting down to his finger, and her lips slowly came together, as though suddenly conscious of their positioning.

"Khushi, jab main tumse pehli baar mila tha, toh mujhe nahin pata tha ki tum meri zindagi ka ek aisa hissa ban jaogi. The first time I met you, I didn't know that you'd become this kind of a part of my life." He whispered, his voice deep and husky and he felt a surge of male satisfaction at Khushi's visible shudder.

"Kaisa hissa? What kind of part?" She whispered, eyes pressed shut tightly.

"Ek ahem hissa. An important one." He replied and her eyes flew open and stared right at him.

Well.. fuck was she staring into his soul, or what? Goddamn it, Arnav had wanted to pin her with his gaze, communicate everything he was feeling and well maybe get a little action in there too. OBVIOUSLY, this hadn't gone according to plan and he felt as though she was gauging the secrets of his very fucking existence. Fuck.

Not liking the feeling at all, the feeling of being at Khushi's utter mercy, and not in a sexual way, which admittedly would have been a little bit more fun than this, Arnav spoke again, to turn the tables.

"Khushi, tum itni bhi buri nahin ho. You're not that bad." There, that should do it. Arnav's eyes widened as Khushi looked affronted and like she was about to speak again.

"Mera matlab hain ki tum itni buri nahin ho jaise maine pehle socha tha. I mean, you're not as bad as I originally thought you were." He rectified, and backtracked again as she looked more angry.

"Tum ek teekh taakh ladki ho?" He tried again and Khushi growled irritably.

"Acha?! Aapki tarif karni puri hogayi?! Really? Are you done complimenting me?" Khushi snapped sarcastically and Arnav recoiled, not even able to chastise her for her tone. Fuck, that had backfired.

Khushi, main tumse py- tumhe pasand karta hoon. I lo- like you." He burst out, before scuttling backwards to awkwardly perch himself at the corner of her bedside. What. The. Fuck. Had. He. Just. Done? Had he just put himself at this Lucknowi pagli's mercy?!(Pagli = crazy girl)

"Aap- acha? You- really?" She asked, lowering her head, and staring at up at him through those long lashes and Arnav's heart skipped a beat.

"Main voh- haan. I - yeah." Arnav muttered, putting his heart, pride, and basically the chances of him ever having it in him to look at Khushi's face again on the line.

"Hum bhi! Me too!" Khushi chorused brightly and Arnav had to resist choking on his own spit in shock.

"What!" He asked, scooting forwards again, a slow smile spreading across his face against his will.

"Haan! Hum bhi aapko pasand karte hain!" Khushi grinned, smiling her wide smile at him again and Arnav felt the "dhakdhak" start again. She- what? She- no. She couldn't seriously like him after everything he'd done? She couldn't seriously feel the same way he did?

"Humne bhi kabhi socha nahin tha ki aap humare itne kareeb dost banjayenge. I never thought you'd become such a close friend to me either!" Khushi said brightly. Aaaannnndddd he really regretted doubting it now. Arnav felt the smile drop from his features and felt his poor heart feebly allow its dhak dhak to fade into depressed beats.

"Leken Khushi mera voh matlab nahin- But Khushi, that's not what I - Oh. That's really nice Khushi." Arnav groaned, allowing his head to fall into his hands.

"BHAI?!" came the shocked shout from the door and Arnav surged to his feet, letting out a yell as he spotted a horrified Akash standing in the doorway. Akash who was getting closer than he should be, realized Arnav as he tripped over the edge of Khushi's bed and went flying towards his younger brother.

"Jeejaji! Brother-in-law! Arnavji?!" Khushi shrieked as the pair went tumbling downwards at the feet of the nurse Arnav had snapped at earlier.

"Acha, toh aap aise ghoomte hain. Oh, you so spin that way." She muttered spitefully, before departing and Arnav gasped in outrage.

"WHAT THE?!" he snapped, struggling to his feet and Akash followed, still staring at Arnav in shock.

"Bhai aapne Khushiji ko- Bro, you and Khushi-"

"HEY AKASH, YEH DEKHO- LOOK VENDING MACHINE." Arnav roared, yanking Akash into a corner.

"Tum. Kisi. Se. Kuch. Nahin. Kahoge. You. Will. Not. Say. A. Word." Arnav threated and a sly smile spread across Akash's face.

"Of course Bhai. Of course.
